Primary Responsibilities

The Lead Engineer in Modeling & Simulation will be responsible for spearheading the design, development, and validation of a sophisticated modeling and simulation environment for high-power systems. This role involves managing multiple teams to create physics-based dynamical models for AC/DC electrical power systems, power electronics, thermal-fluid systems, and directed-energy systems. Key responsibilities include conducting simulation studies, supporting the development of control system electronic hardware and software, and ensuring a seamless workflow.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field
  • Minimum of 12 years of proven hands-on experience in Modeling and Simulation
  • Strong understanding of modeling and simulation requirements, objectives, and deliverables

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's in a relevant technical field
  • Experience with high-power systems, including power electronics and thermal-fluid systems
  • Proficiency in additional simulation tools and programming languages
  • Experience in implementing real-time control systems in embedded software and/or firmware
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to innovate and optimize complex systems
