Position Title: Project Manager

Location: Pittsburgh, PA (Strip District - 5 days/week onsite)

Duration: 1 yr contract with extensions

Must Haves:

Bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of professional work experience

  • Experience working as a Project Manager with the ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Experience communicating with stakeholders to deliver updates regarding project progress and gather updates about business needs
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to remain adaptable and flexible in stressful situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and solve problems.
  • 1+ year of experience with Windows and macOS

Plusses:

  • Experience with virtual reality systems, cameras and optical systems, lighting systems, and audio systems
  • Experience managing projects within the engineering or research space

Day-to-Day

The Research Associate III will be responsible for:

  • Oversee the management of approximately 10 studies within a larger portfolio, ensuring successful completion over the next 12-18 months.
  • Ensure strict adherence to deadlines, swiftly addressing any issues such as data miscaptures or participant (PT) problems to maintain project integrity.
  • Hold team members accountable for their responsibilities, fostering a culture of ownership and proactive problem-solving.
  • Monitor project progress closely, identifying any potential roadblocks and implementing strategies to overcome them.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, effectively prioritizing tasks to ensure all objectives are met within the designated timeframes.

Expectations for Success

To be able to successfully execute on the day-to-day responsibilities above, the Research Associate III is expected to:

Keep partners and stakeholders informed and involved. Being able to represent your project status throughout the organization, to be able to build the appropriate communication channels both within and outside the team

Setting and maintaining expectations. Ensuring the team understands project goals and timelines; Convey high priority issues to engineering teams for resolution.

Being responsible for the rules of reality. Ensuring work is adequately resourced and scoped. Effectively escalating or directly resolving resourcing issues to accomplish the team’s mission.

Keeping the team unblocked and effective. Ensuring the operations team members are able work at their highest potential; conflicts (both technical and interpersonal) have paths toward resolution to allow the team to move forward.

Compensation :

$40/hr to $45/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
