Summary

The ideal candidate for this position is a graduate of an MA program, holds a MA Certification, and has at least 2 years of MA experience, preferably in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. This office administers vaccines for all age groups from infants to elderly adults.

Role Overview

  • Assist in providing primary healthcare and patient care management under physician guidance
  • Coordinate with clerical staff to optimize operations and patient flow
  • Interact with healthcare facilities and agencies for patient care and insurance
  • Maintain updated competencies, ability to speak to leadership and accreditation bodies
  • Perform front office duties and provide coverage in other departments or locations as needed
  • Support patient and family centered care, demonstrating excellent customer service skills

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited MA program or equivalent experience
  • 2-3 years of MA experience preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire required
  • Medical Assistant certification required within 90 days of hire
