Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Bridge Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager to oversee a major reconstruction project of a bridge, highway, and interchange. This role involves comprehensive management of the entire reconstruction process, ensuring the project meets all structural, safety, and regulatory standards while adhering to timelines and budget constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee the total reconstruction of a bridge and interchange project on I-78.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders, including contractors, engineers, and local authorities.
  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards.
  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to meet project goals.
  • Prepare and present progress reports and updates to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues.
  • Ensure quality control and assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate effective communication among all project team members and stakeholders.
  • Conduct site inspections and ensure all work meets engineering standards and specifications.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is a plus, but not required.
  • Proven experience in managing bridge and highway construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to project sites as needed.
Preferred Skills:
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer in Training (EIT) certification. Not required but a plus.
  • Experience with interchange reconstruction projects.
  • Familiarity with local, state, and federal construction regulations and standards.
