Automation Engineer with 3+ years of professional experience in a manufacturing setting is needed in Greenville, SC. The
Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions to enhance manufacturing and production processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation technologies, programming, and a keen eye for detail to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
AUTOMATION ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES : - Create drawings, checking material dimensions and relationship to other parts and to the entire structure or project on the drawing.
- Review development plans for compliance with adopted engineering standards.Verify dimensional accuracy of structural layouts and installations.
- Work with manufacturing, vendors, and engineering to ensure documentation meets specifications.
- Work with sales team and customers on design and applications.
- Construct drawings from concepts or sketches.
- Review and critique proposed engineering standards, policies, or details.
- Act as project manager.
AUTOMATION ENGINEER REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or a technical field related to the subject matter.
- 3+ years’ professional automation experience in a manufacturing setting.
- In-depth knowledge of PLC programming.
- Knowledge of electrical circuits.
- Strong math skills including geometry and trigonometry.
- Excellent computer knowledge and skills with drafting programs.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Detail oriented and possess a willingness to accept challenges and strive for continual improvement in all areas
- Safety minded and practice shop safety
- Self motivated to work independently
- General understanding of performance management requirements.
