Job Description
Gpac is currently working with a client in southern California who is seeking a Regional Sales Manager. This person will be over the west region , focusing specifically in c-store/specialty retail channels. They will report directly to the National Sales Manager and will be remote based with up to 50% travel.
Candidates need to have:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 3+ years experience in a sales leadership role working within the food industry - confectionery, candy, CPG Snacks
  • Strong relationship with customers (c-store/specialty retailers)
  • High level of leadership within the organization and with broker partners
  • Very detailed oriented and ability to problem solve and identify opportunities
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with CRM software - Salesforce a plus
  • Proficient in statistics, forecasting, demand planning and forecasting methods
Responsibilities include:
  • Travel within the designated area to engage with current clients, promoting products and encouraging orders.
  • Regularly connect with customers to nurture account relationships, inform them about new products and services, and gather feedback on offerings.
  • Create lists of potential clients for sales opportunities and visit these prospects to cultivate new business accounts.
  • Offer daily guidance and support to members of the broker team.
  • Assess the performance of the broker team to ensure adherence to schedules and achievement of performance goals.
  • Formulate and execute strategies aimed at increasing and sustaining sales.
  • Develop internal consumption and revenue projections.
  • Establish a trustworthy relationship with the purchasing team of key accounts, including seasonal planners and distributor sales teams supporting retail purchases.
  • Facilitate a collaborative process with internal stakeholders such as demand planning, purchasing, logistics, and finance to support accounts in the territory.
  • Prepare and deliver various reports, including weekly activity updates, tradeshow summaries, travel reports, expense reports, and meeting notes.
  • Maintain effective communication with managers, staff, and external contacts
