Job Description Title: Commercial Construction Senior Estimator
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Estimator to join our team. As a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for analyzing construction projects, evaluating costs, and preparing accurate estimates and bids. You will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure the timely completion of projects.
Responsibilities:
- Review project plans, specifications, and other related documents to determine the scope of the project.
- Conduct site visits to assess the condition of the site, identify potential challenges, and gather data for cost analysis.
- Identify the necessary materials, equipment, and labor needed to complete the project.
- Prepare accurate estimates and bids based on the gathered data and industry standards.
- Communicate with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to obtain pricing and availability of materials and services.
- Collaborate with project managers to create project schedules, manage project costs, and ensure the timely completion of projects.
- Conduct post-project reviews to analyze the accuracy of the estimate, identify areas for improvement, and update the cost database for future use.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in commercial construction estimating.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and other related documents.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
