Description

We are seeking a Senior Database Administrator to join our team and provide support for a real-time, geospatially accurate Common Operating Picture (COP) toolset in collaboration with government contractors. The candidate will be responsible for creating, managing, optimizing, and deploying GEOINT databases onto customer hardware and software baselines. Additionally, the role involves implementing security measures, coordinating database development, and training users. This is a great opportunity to work on a mission-critical program and contribute to the enhancement of GEOINT databases.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Administering organization's database using a database management system
  • Testing programs or databases, correcting errors, and making necessary modifications
  • Planning, coordinating, and implementing security measures
  • Coordinating database development and determining project scope and limitations
  • Writing and coding logical and physical database descriptions
  • Training users and specifying user access levels
  • Supervising the installation and testing of new products and improvements to computer systems
  • Reviewing project requests and developing standards and guidelines for software use and acquisition

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience OR Master's Degree and 2 years of experience
  • Two years of related DoD, Military, or US Government experience
  • An active secret level security clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Database certifications or other related technical certifications
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, Ruby, or PHP
  • Familiarity with GIS, geospatial data, and geospatial products

Pay Range: $81,250.00 - $146,875.00
