Job Description Our client is
seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to add to their team. The ideal candidate
will be a team player and self-starter with a working knowledge of heavy equipment, such as cranes, excavators, concrete pumps, and foundation drilling rigs
.HEAVY EQUIPMENT MECHANIC RESPONSIBILITIES - Repairing and maintaining all equipment, both rented and owned.
- Inputting equipment repairs via work orders and related web-based software tools.
- Being a leader in terms of safety, work ethic and the ability to communicate effectively with field employees including supervision levels.
- Working closely with other mechanics to improve internal processes and sharing of information.
- Servicing of equipment on various job sites.
- Troubleshooting equipment problems independently on off-site projects.
- Following and upholding all required safety rules and regulations.
- Recognizing and correcting safety hazards.
- Diagnose and make repairs in regards to welding and cutting.
- Will maintain good housekeeping with the ability to keep company records and complete work orders on equipment in timely manner.
HEAVY EQUIPMENT MECHANIC QUALIFICATIONS - High level of understanding within diesel, hydraulics, and electrical related applications
- Ability to work with diagrams, schematics, and all related diagnostic work
- Working knowledge of heavy equipment: cranes, excavators, concrete pumps, foundation drilling rigs
- Welding experience is a plus
- Valid driver's license
- Must be capable of lifting up to 100 lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent GED required
