Job Title: Lumber Trader

Our client, one of the fastest-growing companies in the country, is seeking experienced Lumber Traders to join their dynamic team. This is a commission-based, fully remote position, offering a competitive earning potential of $60,000 - $100,000+. The Lumber Trader will play a crucial role in sourcing lumber products, monitoring market trends, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery to meet client demands.

Responsibilities:
  • Lumber Trader will procure lumber products by sourcing from suppliers while considering market dynamics and pricing trends.
  • Negotiate and finalize contracts for lumber transactions, ensuring favorable terms for clients and the organization.
  • Monitor market conditions and analyze data to provide valuable insights and recommendations to clients.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and clients, acting as a trusted intermediary in the lumber industry.
  • Oversee the logistics and coordination of lumber deliveries, ensuring timely and efficient order fulfillment.
  • Stay informed about industry regulations and sustainable practices, ensuring compliance and ethical sourcing.
  • Optimize lumber transactions to maximize profitability while delivering exceptional service to all stakeholders involved.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3-5+ years of experience as a Lumber Trader or Broker in the Lumber Industry.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Strong phone sales skills with a professional attitude.
  • Experienced in booking and scheduling transportation, including semis, railcars, vans, and trucks.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external contacts at all levels.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other related software.
  • Ability to travel domestically upon request.
