RESPONSIBILITIES:

Navy aircraft are among the most complex in the world. These machines see heavy use, and lives and missions depend on meticulous maintenance and repair. Aviation Maintenance Duty Officers deliver just that by keeping lives safe and aircraft functioning properly every day. Their responsibilities include:


  • Fixing and maintaining Aircraft
  • Procuring parts and tools to maintain the Aircraft
  • Manage parts, tools & support equipment
  • Calibrate support equipment
  • Resolve technical issues with support equipment
  • Managing and working closely with the Enlisted Personnel
  • Support & Develop Solutions for Flight Operation, and Maintenance Programs

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Must not have passed 42nd birthday at time of commissioning.
  • Graduated with a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical field or of a business nature.
  • GPA 3.0 or higher
  • Meet Navy medical and height/weight standards.
  • Must be US Citizen
  • Current/former/or other military branches besides Navy
