Job Title: Travel Perisonographer
Facility: Lehigh Valley Physician Group
Location: 3900 Hamilton Blvd Suite 201, Allentown, PA 18103
Pay range: $52 - $54/hr
Shift time : 7:30am - 4:30pm
13 weeks assignment with high possibility of extension

Job Summary:
Performs a variety of high-risk obstetric ultrasound examinations and procedures using the established AIUM protocols with an experience associated degree of individual judgement based on clinical circumstances and patient conditions. Performs clinical assessment, diagnostic sonography examinations, and synthesizes information with patient's medical history.

Certifications - Required
  • RDMS-Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - OB/GYN
  • CPR-Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
  • BLS - Basic Life Support
  • NT-Nuchal Translucency
Certifications- Preferred
CLEAR-Cervical Length Education and Review - PREFERRED.

Education - Required:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Technical School Diploma Ultrasonography or
  • ssociate's Degree Diagnostic Medical Sonography
  • Experience - Required:1 year experience in perinatal/maternal fetal medicine imaging
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Required/Preferred Ability to maintain compliance with regulatory agencies.
  • bility to implement advanced imaging techniques when medically applicable (3D/The Client).
  • Knowledge of various sonography equipment and related applications.
  • Participates in changes to improve efficiency, workflows, and/or patient safety.
Essential Functions - Required:
  • Maintains electronic patient charts and records to processes sonographic data and other pertinent observations made during the sonogram
  • Maintains patient information in the ultrasound documentation/reporting system, image storage system, and EMR. Obtains pertinent medical history from record prior to exams and prepares preliminary reports as requested by the physician.
  • Uses independent judgement during the sonographic exam to accurately differentiate between normal and pathologic findings.
  • Selects appropriate transducer and adjusts equipment to optimize the images utilizing the available applications and options on the ultrasound machine, based on fetal position, anatomy, and depth of tissue characteristics.
  • Recognizes equipment malfunctions and takes corrective action when possible.
  • Communicates effectively with patients and their families in patient care setting. Provide scope appropriate supportive patient care during difficult situations. Demonstrate professionalism, flexibility and responsiveness in handling customer interactions.
