Job Description A prominent civil engineering firm is seeking a Project Manager-level certified Planner/Landscape Architect to join the Public Sector Division. The ideal candidate will manage a diverse range of large and small projects for public agencies.
Project Management: Oversee and manage projects from concept through completion, ensuring they meet client requirements and are delivered on time and within budget.
Site Planning and Design: Work on site grading, ADA compliance, trail design, park amenity design, and environmental assessments. Prepare plans for approval by relevant agencies.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with co-workers, including Landscape Architects, Engineers, Surveyors, and CADD technicians, to develop design drawings, perform quality control, and manage project schedules and budgets.
Mentorship: Provide direct mentorship to junior staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment.
Client Interaction: Regularly meet with clients and agencies to discuss project progress and requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of development design and the review and approval processes of various local agencies.
Industry Engagement: Participate in industry-related organizations and activities, contributing to the firm’s marketing efforts.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture.
Licensure: Professional Landscape Architect (PLA/RLA) certification required.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in site planning and landscape architectural design.
Skills:
Strong graphic design and presentation skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Proficiency in Photoshop, Sketch-Up, or similar design software.
Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D.
Competence in Microsoft Office programs: Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
Demonstrated experience in preparing and presenting grading plans.
