Job Description

As an Ammunition Inventory Clerk, you will be responsible for managing all types of munition inventory and performing stock control and accounting procedures for ammunition, explosives, and associated explosive components. Your duties will include:

  • Perform ammunition supply stock control and accounting duties using both automated and manual procedures
  • Maintain hardware and software systems, and manual records required for stock control and accounting procedures for ammunition and explosives
  • Perform data input and maintenance of records required to successfully perform stock control and accounting procedures for ammunition and explosives

Through your training, you will develop the skills and experience that will prepare you for a variety of roles, such as ordnance research and development and positions requiring detail-oriented stock control personnel. Job training for an Ammunition Inventory Clerk requires 10 weeks of Basic Training, where you'll learn basic Soldiering skills, and eight weeks of Advanced Individual Training and on-the-job instruction. Part of this time is spent in the classroom and part in the field. Depending on location, you may be required to travel.
