They are currently seeking an experienced Market Rate Developer to join the team and drive the success of their multifamily projects.

Position Overview: The Market Rate Developer will oversee the development of market-rate multifamily housing projects from conception to completion. This role requires an individual with a minimum of 10 years of experience in multifamily development, strong market insight, and exceptional project management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Lead and manage all phases of market-rate multifamily development projects, including site acquisition, due diligence, entitlements, design, construction, and lease-up.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify and evaluate potential development opportunities.
  • Financial Oversight: Develop and manage project budgets, pro formas, and financial models to ensure profitability and financial viability.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, government agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Permitting and Entitlements: Navigate the permitting and entitlement process, ensuring compliance with local zoning and regulatory requirements.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors, contractors, and consultants.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all projects meet high standards of quality, safety, and sustainability.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management on project status, financial performance, and key milestones.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with development projects.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business, Urban Planning, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in multifamily development, with a focus on market-rate projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing multifamily development projects from concept to completion.
  • Strong understanding of real estate finance, market analysis, and development processes.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software and financial modeling tools.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to multifamily development.
