Part Time Accounting Assistant

Position Overview: We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Part-Time Accounting Assistant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will assist with various accounting tasks to support the financial operations of this group. This is a 20 hour/week position, reporting to the Finance Director.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the processing of accounts payable and receivable transactions.
• Maintain and update financial records and files.
• Support the preparation of financial reports and statements.
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
• Perform data entry and ensure the accuracy of financial information.
• Assist with payroll processing and related documentation.
• Provide support for budget preparation and monitoring.
• Assist in the preparation for audits and other financial reviews.
• Respond to inquiries from vendors, staff, and other stakeholders regarding financial transactions and records.
• Perform other related duties as aswsigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred.
• Previous experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Familiarity with accounting software and databases.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
