nWhile working as a 3rd year pharmacy intern, under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you play a critical role in ensuring a safe and effective Retail Pharmacy work environment that delivers exceptional care to each patient. This includes but is not limited to:

nPrimary Roles and Responsibility:
nA key component of the pharmacy intern role is keeping your customers and patients healthy through adoption and management of patient care programs. Additionally, you will:

nEducation:
nRequired Qualifications:
nAccepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
n0-3 years relevant work experience
nMust possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
nStrong communication and presentation skills
nComplete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
nAbility to:
nHave regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
nBe mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
nLift, scan, and bag items
nFinger Dexterity: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than whole hand or arm
nReach overhead; able to stretch or reach out with the body, arms, and/or legs to grasp items
nExtend hand(s) and arm(s) multiple directions to place, move, or lift items
nPrecision control: able to adjust machines to exact positions
nStoop to a considerable degree and requiring full use of the lower extremities and back muscles to move items between low and high positions, including bending spine at the waist
nVisual Acuity: Close visual acuity to perform activities such as: transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, reading, visual inspection involving small parts
nAble to orally communicate information and instructions to colleagues and customers
nOccasional lifting of up to 20 lbs; exerting up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects
nAbility To:
nHave regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
nComplete any additional tasks as directed by supervisor or manager
nComplete all required training and obtain required licensure (if applicable) within state guidelines
nPreferred Qualifications:
nImmunization eligibility
nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
nOnce state regulations are met, pharmacy interns should be striving to provide patient immunizations as this is an essential pharmacist function
nPay Range
nThe typical pay range for this role is:
n$16.00 - $16.00
