Within an hour's travel time Yosemite Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks can be enjoyed. Job Summary: Facilitates physician's performance of invasive and therapeutic and diagnostic procedures. Handles the instruments supplies and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. Ensures quality patient care during the operative procedure and is constantly monitoring the maintenance of the sterile field. Job Requirements: Education and Work Experience: Associate Degree or Certificate of Program Completion in Surgical Technology: Required Relevant acute care experience: Preferred Licenses/Certifications: National Board of Surgical Technologists or Association of Surgical Technologists certified: Preferred Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation CPR or Basic Life Support BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS certification: Preferred Facility Specific License/Certifications: Basic Life Support BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQI BLS certification: Required Tech in Surgery NCCT-ST or Certified Surgical Technologist CST: Required Essential Functions: Verifies surgery to be performed with consent forms and brings patient to assigned operating room. Prepares surgical cases by creating and maintaining a sterile field, retracting and passing instruments, supplies and medications to surgeons during cases. Performs a variety of technical skills, including the maintenance of supplies.Job Requirements:Education and Work Experience:High School Education/GED or equivalent: PreferredAssociate?s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: PreferredScrub technician experience: PreferredOperating room experience and/or training course: PreferredLicenses/Certifications:Surgery Technician certification: PreferredCardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: RequiredCertified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification: PreferredEssential Functions:Prepares for each surgical case by accurately checking required supplies and equipment prior to case. Assembles appropriate supplies/equipment prior to operative procedures. Reviews equipment inventory for specialty as assigned. Sets up operative instrumentation/sterile field for expedient retrieval/utilization.Collects data on assigned surgical cases by the unit based Performance Standards of Care. Cleans equipment and facilities as necessary. Performs housekeeping duties as requested.Transports patients according to unit schedules and priorities. Provides clerical duties.Completes instrument, sponge, needle and blade counts with the Registered Nurse (RN) according to established standards.Sets up/maintains neat and orderly sterile field demonstrating careful attention to aseptic technique. Labels solutions according to established standards.Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Years of Experience: 2. CA RN License BLS, NCCT-ST or Certified Surgical Technologist CST: Required RTO upon submission
