Job Description Role Overview: The Assistant Construction Superintendent plays a crucial role in supporting the Senior Project Manager with the daily operations and administration of
high end residential construction projects. This position focuses on the administrative side of construction management, ensuring that all plans, contracts, purchase orders, and change orders are meticulously tracked and executed to keep projects on schedule. This is a salaried, exempt position requiring a commitment of at least 40 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities: - Site Management: Collaborate with the Senior Project Manager to oversee a single project site, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
- Resource Coordination: Assist in identifying and organizing the necessary resources and team members to meet project objectives.
- Meeting Participation: Attend and contribute to various project status meetings, providing updates and insights as needed.
- Issue Identification: Proactively alert the Senior Project Manager to any potential deviations from the project plan or schedule.
- Confidentiality & Ethics: Uphold a high standard of confidentiality and ethical behavior in all tasks.
- Procurement Support: Aid in the procurement process, including bid solicitation, material selection, and contractor engagement.
- Communication Tracking: Monitor and filter communication to ensure no critical details are overlooked.
Skills & Qualifications: - Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience, with a preference for candidates familiar with California’s construction landscape- HILLSIDE experience preferred!
- Technical Skills: Proficient in reading and analyzing architectural plans, with a strong understanding of local city and jurisdictional requirements.
- Customer Focus: Dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service.
- Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
- Time Management: Excellent time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Problem Solving: Capable of identifying, analyzing, and resolving issues effectively.
