Looking for a senior level system administratorfor Exchange on-premises. The System Administrator is responsible for support, configuration, maintenance, and operations of both hardware and software of the Windows Exchange Server environment. Active Directory experience preferred.
Primary Functions/Job Description
Maintain, upgrade, build, and implement Exchange System
Install and configure new servers based on standards and operational requirements
Maintain, configure, monitor, tune, and troubleshoot server hardware and software
Perform daily monitoring of environment including hardware, applications, key processes, and scheduled jobs
Maintain, support, and administer corporate email in Exchange 2016/2019 services
Maintain, support, and administer mail gateway and spam filtering technologies emphasis on DMARC and DKIM technologies
Maintain daily backup operations following operational guidelines
Develop, maintain, and contribute to installation and configuration procedures documentation
Maintain current version of Exchange - patching/hotfixes
Manage user accounts and access to systems
Manage ticket and issues sent to System Administrator queue
Knowledge of O365 and Azure technology
Other duties as assigned
Preferred Skills
Understanding of A/D objects and layout
Familiarity with SMTP, MX Records, DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP, HTTP(S), and SSL
Experience with domain administration, mail gateways, and spam filtering
Active Directory, Exchange, and Azure, directory sync in-depth knowledge
Expert knowledge of Windows Server systems (Win2016/Win2019/Win2022)
Expert in Windows Desktop platforms (Win10) and Outlook application
Understanding of Proofpoint management and administration
Knowledge of Exchange Clustering concepts (DAG)
Expert in Exchange PowerShell

Minimum of 6 years IT experience in Exchange System Administration role
Problem troubleshooting and solving ability
Excellent written and oral communication skills including documentation
Ability to learn new technology and skills quickly
