Amazon Web Services is expanding in the U.S. Public Sector market, and the Education team within Amazon offers a creative, fast paced, entrepreneurial work environment where you’ll be at the center of Amazon innovation for administrators, faculty, researchers, and students.
nWe are looking for an experienced Enterprise Sales Representative to focus on Research 1 (R1) Higher Education institutions in Georgia. The ideal candidate has sales experience in this vertical with a terrific reputation for overachieving quota while focusing on the customer. They should also be a self-starter who is prepared to develop and execute against a territory plan and consistently deliver on quarterly targets. The ideal candidate will possess both a sales and technical background that enables them to drive an engagement at the CXO level, as well as, with IT architects and leaders. The Enterprise Sales Representative will be an exceptionally strong and creative thinker who thrives in a team environment and embraces all aspects of selling. They must be able to work in fast-paced, dynamic environment and have very strong verbal and written communication skills.
nKey job responsibilities
nDrive revenue and market share in a defined territory and industry vertical.
nMeet or exceed quarterly targets.
nDevelop and execute against comprehensive account and territory plan.
nCreate & articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services.
nAccelerate customer adoption.
nMaintain a robust sales pipeline.
nWork with partners to extend reach & drive adoption.
nManage contract negotiations.
nDevelop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts.
nEnsure customer satisfaction.
nThis role will include moderate travel.

nBasic Qualifications
nBachelor's degree or equivalent
n5+ years of full sales cycle, technology sales or equivalent business development, sales engineering/consulting or equivalent experience
n5+ years of technology platform sales with an understanding of government IT, data centers, cloud services and cloud adoption experience
n5+ years of technology sales selling enterprise software, networking, infrastructure, managed hosting services, or cloud computing services experience
