As a project manager, you'll be responsible for managing fabricated structural steel projects. This project management position comes with a very competitive salary and great benefits.
Project Manager Skills and Requirements: - 5+ years extensive steel fabrication and erection project management
- Working knowledge of structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication and erection processes and procedures
- Familiarity with the construction industry
- Ability to read and accurately interpret sketches and blueprints, including design, construction, architectural and sub-contractor drawings
- Self-motivated and detail oriented
- Ability to perform work accurately and completely in a timely manner
- Familiarity of AISC and PCI codes
- Ability to establish rapport with customers and respond to their needs in an efficient and timely manner
Project Manager Job Responsibilities Include: - Attend “kick-off” meetings to become familiar with and discuss new projects
- Coordinate sequencing and any special job issues with General Contractors
- Keep track of all submittals and press for timely returns
- Review approval returns for accuracy, then forward to detailer
- Handle any RFI’s, ASI’s and/or revisions promptly.
- Communicate with field superintendents to confirm delivery schedules
- Communicate with detailers for release of jobs for fabrication
- Review “Released for Fab” shop drawings for accuracy and completeness
