Job Description Superintendent - Concrete - Commercial Concrete Construction Our client established in 1964, is a mid-size concrete construction company operating in North and South Carolina. Their services include commercial and residential concrete new construction as well as stone shooting and waterproofing. With a strong foundation already in place, they are adding this position to further grow the company.
Superintendent - Concrete - Commercial Concrete Construction
Duties: Full-time individual needed to be responsible for managing multiple new construction projects in the field from start to finish.
Duties to include, but not limited to the following:
• Understanding full scope of work for each project
• Manage all business aspects of multiple concurrent projects and ensure financial targets are met while maintaining established quality standards
• Manage all activities associated with production including labor, materials, equipment and services
• Manage the workload accurately as related to the contracted scope of work
• Manage Crew Chiefs and field crews
• Schedule and manage concrete delivery
• Purchases and track quantities of supplied materials to all projects
• Maintains a professional relationship with clients and ensures clear and consistent communication
• Develop and maintain updated and accurate schedules & daily reports for each project
• Develops and maintains a fair and professional relationship with subcontractors and vendors
• Ensures safe work environment and quality standards are maintained
Desired Skills & Experience To be successful in this role, the Field Manager will possess:
• 5+ years construction project field management experience from a subcontractor’s perspective. Concrete construction management experience is required
• Experienced managing multiple projects at one time
• Proven track record in the successful management of project cost, schedule, safety and quality
• Superior communication skills. Able to work effectively and develop strong working relationships with vendors and clients
• Spanish speaking required
• Computer literate, experienced with Microsoft Office products to include Microsoft Project and construction programs such as Timberline, and PlanSwift.
• OSHA 10-hour training
