Description The Opportunity Sr. Director of Behavioral Health CeDAR - Center for Dependency, Addiction and Rehabilitation This is an outstanding opportunity to join one of the top academic health systems in the country and be part of a high-performing, quality-focused leadership team. CeDAR is the Center for Dependency, Addiction and Rehabilitation, a division of UCHealth. We are a non-profit treatment facility for substance use and co-occurring disorders. CeDAR provides both inpatient and outpatient addiction treatment, along with the highest levels of addiction-related medical and psychiatric care for adults 18 years of age and older. Integration within the UCHealth Anschutz Medical Campus makes CeDAR the safest place to detox and receive treatment for substance abuse.
The Sr. Director will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for CeDAR. With a focus on managing and coordinating all facets of the treatment center, they will ensure the delivery of high-quality care to diverse populations with substance use and mental health disorders. This pivotal role involves ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, including Medicaid and Medicare guidelines. Additionally, the Sr. Director will lead financial management efforts to support the organization's mission and facilitate growth through effective management of insurance and other pay sources. Reporting Relationships Reports to: Vice President Behavioral Health, UCHealth
Goals and Objectives Achieving the vision. The Sr. Director of Behavioral Health success in this position will be measured by attaining these goals:
• Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the administrative, legal and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
• Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives. May serve as Administrator On Call and negotiate contract and managed care rates.
• Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
• Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding. Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.

Education/Certification
• Minimum Required Education: Master's Degree in Hospital Administration, Business Administration or a health-related field.
• Required Licensure/Certification: None Required.
• Relevant certification as determined at position level.
• Minimum Experience: 5 years of management experience with 3 years in a leadership role in a healthcare setting. Preferred Qualifications: Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, Psychologist, Licensed Addiction Counselor
The pay range for this position is: $57.56 - $92.10 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
